Turkey-tails, a colorful shelf fungus

Found on a log near Bloomington, Indiana, this “colony” of shelf fungi displays a colorful arrangement with adjacent lichens and mosses. I’ve heard them called “turkey tails,” but I don’t know whether this is the Trametes versicolor.
